Recent design improvements have resulted in these new models now producing higher airflow over a wider range of stove surface temperatures, compared to the previous models, delivering between 15 to 90% more air.
The optimal running temperature of these wood-stove Ecofans® is between 85°C and 345°C.
The Caframo Ecofan® 806 GS is a heat powered stove fan designed to circulate the warm air created by a gas-stove with a surface temperature of between 65°C and 150°C.

The time taken to reach 20°C from a cold start 17°C is reduced by up to 38% by using an Ecofan®.
Ecofans® have a thermoelectric module which acts as a small generator to power the fan's motor. When this generator experiences a heat differential between its top and bottom surfaces, it pumps out electricity. The bottom surface of the module is heated by the base of the fan while the top of the module is kept cooler by the fan's top cooling fin
