It is at the centre of our moral ethic in the work place to provide accurate information, but errors and omissions are always possible. Most specifications on this web site such as dimensions are as provided directly from the manufacturer and may be approximate (Please note that manufacturers sometimes supply contradictory information). Please confirm specific details or any other specifications before ordering. All prices shown on this website include VAT at the current rate, unless mentioned otherwise. Our prices and goods are always subject to availability from our suppliers. We accept payment via cheque, all major credit and debit cards via online payment or by telephone. Goods remain the property of the supplier until paid for in full, and as such shipping of goods cannot begin until payment has been completed.


When you place an order with us an email will be sent to you with your invoice and a detailed list of the products that you have ordered. We urge all customers to check that what has been ordered is correct. We allow 12 hours after your order for you to check and make sure that everything with your order is as it should be, this applies to both internet and telephone orders.


It is your responsibility to choose a product that suits your needs. Once the product is delivered, you are responsible for installation and storage. It is your responsibility to guarantee the correct installation of the product(s) and in compliance with current Building Regulations and the I.E.E (Institution of Electric Engineers) Wiring Regulations. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the fitters are qualified to fit their product. If you are unsure about their qualifications we recommend checking on the HETAS or Gas Safe approved web sites.

Pictures and Images:

All sizes and measurements on the web site are approximate, however we do strive to ensure that all sizes, images and measurements on the web site are as accurate as possible. All pictures on the web site are provided solely for illustrative reasons and may not match the product itself exactly. Colours can vary from those illustrated and may look different on other computer or mobile screens. We never consciously publish misleading or incorrect product images or descriptions.

Cancellations and Returns:

Telephone, mail order and internet sales to individuals (not businesses) are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance selling) Regulations 2000 (UK Law Directive 97/7/EC) which protect you by providing you with a 7 working day ‘Cooling off’ period after the product has been delivered. A customer has the right to cancel any order between the time of placing it and 7 working days after delivery. Any cancellations must be in writing, by post or by email to sales@galleonfireplaces.co.uk (NOT to ANY other email address) and must include the Order Reference Number. Under the Distance Selling regulations you have the right to receive a refund within 30 days of cancellation. You are advised to retain the packaging, as you will find it difficult to return the item without the appropriate packaging. The goods must not have been installed, fitted or used in any way. The goods must be free from blemishes of any kind and unmarked, and you must return them in a saleable condition. The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.

Privacy and Security:

Any personal details that you provide us with are securely stored. We never supply nor sell any customers details to anyone. We never supply nor sell and customer details to any outside organisation. We do not store and credit or debit card details and all credit and debit card details are encrypted using 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption and sent using a secure server.

Additional Costs Incurred by You:

Advanced Ideas Ltd and its associates and workers are not liable for any costs incurred by you or any loss of earnings that may result. For example, in the event that a delivery is delayed and you have to re-book an installation then we are not liable for any extra charges that you may be charged by the installer. We always recommend that you do not book any installations until you have received your goods. We are also not liable for any loss of earnings as a result of having to take time of work to accept a delivery, even in the event that the delivery is late or delayed.
